James Keach, the executive producer of the awarding winning movie, Walk the Line, based on the life and love story of country singer, Johnny Cash, will discusses his over 30 year career in the film industry as an actor, director, writer, and producer; his starring role as Jesse James in The Long Riders, his current feature film, Waiting for Forever, and his work with his wife Jane Seymour on numerous television films and the series, Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman. Keach was nominated for Motion Picture Producer of the Year by the Producer’s Guild of America for Walk the Line, which was nominated for several Academy and Golden Globe awards, ultimately winning the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture in 2005.

Synopsis

James Keach directed this 2006 film about a charming young blind man who signs up for a dangerous experimental procedure -- a brain surgery that may give him partial vision. While taking tests he falls hard for the lovely East Indian nurse, but she has been promised in an arranged marriage -- a promise she feels she cannot break without dishonoring her family, but when the man's brain surgery goes unexpectedly awry, the crisis effects a reunion between the two young lovers. James's feature film "Blind Guy Driving " a comedy romance is currently in post production and due out sometime this year., Jane has a small supporting role in the film. Blind Guy- Update (from Variety)

Newly formed Theta Films is co-financing its first pic with Catfish Prods., the comedy "Blind Guy," starring Chris Pine.

"Blind Guy Driving " is about a visually impaired but highly confident young man seeking love and a chance to see. After a series of disastrous dates, he falls for his doctor's young receptionist, a beautiful emigrant from India, but their love is thwarted by cultural differences.

Eddie Kaye Thomas ("American Pie"), Jane Seymour and newcomer Anjali Jay also star. James Keach directed, based on an original screenplay by Christopher Theo.

Look out Jane! We caught up with James Keach at the NY Art Expo (2004) where Jane where Jane Seymour was one of the featured artists. Not only was James there accompanying Jane as she showed her art, but he surprised us with a few paintings of his own that were also on display. - At the exhibition we also learned what became of the beautiful bouquet which our staff and a group of DQ Times members sent on the passing of James' mother, Mary Keach.

In Memory of Mary Keach
On November 5,2003,  James's beloved mother Mary passed away.

We received this thank you note from James for the condolence gift that was sent by our staff and some of our members which we would like to share with you.
