Henry Sanders was featured in the second issue of the DQ Times:

Henry Sanders Is asking for your help with a very special project.

From Henry

I've created a website www.hgsprods.com to produce a film entitled CARLA, this summer. (2012)This is a story of a female veteran returning home from the war in Afghanistan to her family, with undiagnosed PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and her secret of rape that causes her to go over the edge. This is a very serious problem in the military and needs to be exposed

We are attempting to raise the remaining funds to go with the funds we have already to make this movie. If you would like to know more about this film and how you can help, please visit my website. Together we can make a difference

Peace

Note from site administrator

This is a project very dear to Henry's Sander's heart. Henry explained how he came to be involved with the project

"The reason I'm involved in this issue is because I'm a vet and recently found out about six years ago that I had PTSD. I got into a group. I noticed that there were no groups for women. I started asking questions. I met a young lady who had served in the military. she told me that she had been raped by someone she knew. she didn't say anything because she didn't think anything would be done about it. I started doing more research and found that this was a bigger issue then I'd thought and the government wasn't doing much of anything to stop it. I started going to several site looking for cases. Everynight at 6:30 google sends me military sexual cases. You wouldn't belive how bad this is. former congresswoman Jane Harmon once said that a female serving in military is more likely to raped or sexually assaulted by a fellow soldier then killed in Iraq. The short was my attempt to bring this issue to light, because you don't hear about it on the news. We took it to the VA (where I go) and to a homeless shelter for female vets. It was suggested that we do a feature because this issue has not been explored. Long answer, but this is something I'm very passionate about. "
