of Adam Blande, a charismatic dreamer obsessed in his quest to
be reunited with a mother he never knew and a father who spent
his life as an alcoholic petty criminal. Adam’s best
friend, Devin, is moved by his friend’s endearing but impetuous
schemes towards that end and often finds himself stepping in
to protect Adam from the volatile situations his obsessions frequently
create. Even the love of the same woman, the beautiful and haunted
Kobe, has not torn the fabric of Adam and Devin’s friendship
although it has given rise to many serious conflicts between
them. But, Adam’s reckless impulses to provide a perfect
life for the parents he’s not sure even exist finally puts
both Adam’s and Devin’s lives in jeopardy. Devin
is forced to weigh the value of their friendship against the
value of his own life when Adam beguiles a loan-shark, Tyan,
out of thirty thousand dollars and someone has to pay the price
when Adam fails to repay it. Tyan plots a vengeful bloodbath,
and thus, both Adam and Devin find themselves embroiled in a
