Jane Seymour hosted City Hearts Fundraiser

According to the founders of CITY HEARTS, Sherry
and Bob Jason, the uplifting experience of Art, is one of
the most powerful tools teachers have at their disposal to
be able to communicate with and rehabilitate 'at risk' youth.
CITY HEARTS offer an education which is difficult
to find anywhere else. Through their programs in the fields
of arts, choreography and music, troubled youth at risk from
gangs and drugs are able to gain inner strength which eventually
lets them make new choices in life. From broken homes, some
without parents, CITY HEARTS children turn to their
dedicated teachers for support and advice.
In turn, the teachers
become their role models thus giving the children an opportunity
for a new beginning.
These kids are often born into a life where
crime and drugs appear to be the ‘norm'. Through empowerment,
the children's self-esteem develops and suddenly life has
other possibilities for them. They don't return to the
courts, instead their improved grades and test scores give
them new opportunities once never thought possible.

After 20 years of dedication and work, CITY
HEARTS is expanding and creating new programs as they are
able to accommodate a larger number of children. The founders
are like two tall and proud parents whose dedication to their
purpose is exactly what the future of our children needs.
Their cause and their efforts for
making a difference has attracted many celebrities such
as Jane Seymour whose dedication to children is mirrored
through her involvement in CITY HEARTS. As she opened her
arms and home to the organization's 20 year anniversary,
she shows what is most important to her: the children of
today's world. Her heart reaches out to the children
who once may have thought they were worthless. As a child,
she was given the feeling of being special thus given the
opening of a life time of opportunities and a life she loves. Today
she chooses to give that back through her involvement in
CITY HEARTS.
