NEW YORK — Bath towels will be an upcoming addition to The Jane Seymour Home Collection, the captive brand that accounts for a growing portion of home sales at the Saks Department Store Group nameplates.

Actress/author/designer Jane Seymour was in Manhattan today unveiling the newest editions to the collection, which debuted one year ago. The line has added sheet sets to accompany comforter sets and is also expanding add-on pieces such as quilts and toss pillows for four existing patterns.

Bath towels, while on the radar, are likely to roll out until spring 2005. Also under consideration is an expansion of coordinated window offerings. "There have been a lot of requests for the yardage," she said.

In addition to textiles and bath accessories, the 1,200-sku program now includes furniture, lighting, wall art, decor pieces and hand-painted tiles. In addition to Saks Department Store Group nameplates, the collection debuted earlier this year in two Saks Fifth Avenue stores and may expand to additional SFA units.
