Jane Seymour and her husband,
James Keach, will never stop loving Johnny and June Carter Cash.
From Tennessean senior writer and columnist Tim ''Dirt Man'' Ghianni: 'We've been very much a part of the family,'' said Jane during a recent phone conversation. The lovely Jane was at both of the Hendersonville funerals in recent months. And her husband ''is producing a movie about John and June's love story,'' she said. Jane confirmed previous reports that Harpeth Hall alum Reese Witherspoon will be playing June. And Joaquin Phoenix, who accompanied the Keaches to Cash's funeral, is their top choice to be the Man in Black in the film, titled Walk the Line. ''We feel it would be ideal casting,'' said the former Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman. ''They asked us to be the guiding people on this particular project. They were very involved in the whole thing and read the whole script.'' She said the big-screen love story will be shot next year. Jane says the heartache over the Cashes is still there…. 'He's quite the little Man in Black' Again from Tim Ghianni: Jane Seymour, a close friend of Johnny Cash's family, says this is a tough time. ''We were very close to them …. I feel very privileged to have been a great friend of both of them,'' Jane said. ''They were the godparents of our (almost 8-year-old) twins. One of them (Johnny Keach) is named after Johnny Cash. He's quite the little Man in Black.'' The other twin is named Kris. ''It's spelled like Kris Kristofferson,
but he's named for Christopher Reeve. |
