For example I have these lamps in my kitchen; I have them in my living room. I have a lot of these cushions. In fact the one back here “Royal Dress”, the red and gold, is in my library at St. Catherine’s. It’s all royal dress. So you know, bare in mind, that although you may see it in a bed room that doesn’t mean that it can’t be in a kitchen, a living room, a veranda, a porch, you know, even in a… a living room. So, this red and gold here, as I said, is called Royal Dress and it’s been very successful for us. Everybody loves red and gold. We have lot of accessories that go with it. And it has a lot of different patterns with it. And everything can be turned around, everything is reversible. So you can really change the look of your bed easily. And it has a lot of different pieces that go with it. And due to popular demand we now have sheets that go with everything. So if you like to have matching sheets, we have them. And they are really beautiful. I don’t know if we have those for that one up here.

We do have the sheets actually that go with the blue and white collection which is a really beautiful fresh collection. Blue and white we have is called Somerset Gardens. I personally love blue and white. It’s timeless. But what I did here is different. I made the blue key into every kind of denim colour. I don’t know about you but I wear denim a lot usually and you know, I always find myself throwing my jeans at the end of the bed and it’s kind of nice that it ties in with the colour scheme.

So we have sheets, we have quilts with every collection and the other idea is that you can mix and match it. You may want to have some kind of overall look but you may also have some kind of a lighter feeling especially when it’s really hot. So we have quilts that go with it so you can kind of layer it. Over here is a collection called English Laurel. This is brand new. We just brought it out. It’s a linen look. This is absolutely what is happening right now in interior decorating if you are interested. What’s great about it is it isn’t pure linen it is mixed with another fabric so it doesn''t behave the way linen does - being scratchy and wrinkle all the time. This is a wonderful way of having linen and actually having it feel soft and it’s very important to me that when you have a bed that looks really beautiful, that it's inviting and it’s tactile. And we have with that collection obviously a lot of different pillows and there’s a quilt here. It’s very hard for me to show but it’s an embroidered quilt. Let me see if I can… if there’s an easy way to do this.

Anyhow, this is an absolutely beautiful embroidered quilt. And why I wanted to show you this is I used to be an embroiderer and I love to embroider but I have very little time. But I like to personalise gifts to people, so what I’ve been doing is I’ve been embroidering their name on the corner or, you know, at the back of it and giving it as a gift. So it’s a great way of doing it. And the price on it is I think $ 199 which is just unbelievable for a beautiful embroidered quilt and it has incredible cushions that go with it. Really special pieces.
The other quilt we have up here goes to the Elderberry Collection and this is very tactile. Men love this one. I just… it’s got silk, it’s got very soft kind of velvet, it’s got every kind of texture in it and a lot of different pillows that go with it.

I also have flower arrangements. They go with every collection so you can very quickly put the whole room together. I only showed this to the press very recently we just took a hotel room and we obviously didn’t redecorate, we just put the bedding and put all the accessories around and the hotel manager came in and said, " how did this happen? You didn’t change the carpets, you didn’t change curtains, you know, it just fit immediately." It really is designed to go into your existing home. There’re a lot of really neat gift items here. Of course we have lamps. Lamps are around $40 for a lamp. And they are really beautiful. And you’ll see this little bookmark up here. This is kind of my nutty idea. We have these really cool little bookmarks and they are like a jewelled picture frame and they are 7 Dollars and for my mother’s 90th birthday - I’m going to put pictures of my mum in them as a keep-sake for everybody to take home. But if you have a little dinner party or you’re doing a baby shower or whatever. If you want to give somebody a really neat hostess gift it is a wonderful gift.

What I like to do is I like finding more than one way of using something. So I don’t just use it as a bookmark. I also sometimes use it to decorate the lamps. So I just hang it over a lamp so it’s like jewellery for the lamp. Which is kinda neat. They come in all different colours. Talking about amazing gift items. The other one we just can’t keep in stock.. We brought this in because I was in Tennessee yesterday and they sold out completely. Everybody was going crazy for it. This is kind of a bird house. It’s really quite heavy. It’s enamelled and jewelled and you have to feel it to really see how beautiful it is. This one has a beautiful red bird inside. There are four of them. There’s one here which has a baby inside. I just actually gave this one to somebody for a baby shower. They are musical boxes. This one plays Amazing Grace and I think this one plays Blue Danube. And one plays the Somewhere in Time theme and the other one Swan Lake and it’s black and silver with a swan. I have signed as many as I possibly could so they are great gift items. And this for only 19.99 and people said. " you guys are crazy, this is like a $100-Dollar item." So I was thrilled with that.

And there are these beautiful plates. These I’m using right now and I’m really excited with these. There’s a whole collection of them. There are round ones, squared ones, big and small and also a great big bowl. There are just wonderful to use. They are glass. And they are just really beautiful. I also think it’s a really neat way to present a homemade cake or some cookies or thinking of Christmas. I put chocolates on mine. A really lovely way to get chocolates instead of in a box, you get them like this. They can put them out and afterwards they have a beautiful collectable plate. And those are very inexpensive, too. I have obviously lovely things for the bath, lots of things. These actually belong in the bathroom. These beautiful edged glasses and perfume bottles and we have soap dishes and everything. But then again I like to do something different. Sometimes I like to put small flower arrangements in these and put them around the dining room table. Because it’s really neat when you have a dinner and you can actually see who you’re talking to. It’s all well and good to have that great big flower arrangement but actually it’s impractical especially when you’re passing food around and you actually what to see each other. So I really like individual flower containers and I especially like them if I’m using them elsewhere in the house on other days.

Another really neat gift item is a perfume bottle. This is actually a perfume bottle. It has a stopper. But again it can be used as an individual flower vase. A wonderful gift to give someone. Here’s another one. I just put some little blossoms in. (She takes out one of her dolls) Now, you’re really lucky because these were normally $240. They are hand-painted. I painted actually the first one to make sure that they were accurate. It’s in my home and this the Somewhere in Time inspired doll. There’s one that looks like me as Dr Quinn and there’s an Elizabethan doll rather like my name Jane Seymour. And there’s another one in a 1950s gold dress and a beautiful hat. And she’s inspired by Hazel Brannon Smith, a movie I did about the woman who won the Pulitzer Prize. I just heard that these dolls, I can’t believe this, are selling today for $99 Dollars. And I’ve signed them which means they’re worth a lot more than that. They are signed on the back. You know, I signed underneath the outfit but on the bottom. So if anyone is interested I highly recommend catching these today.

One of the things I’ve been doing too… my dining table invariably becomes a little desk for school paper works, bills, and things, you know, I haven’t quite got around to putting somewhere else. And I always get kinda depressed that beautiful dining table, people come in and it’s only at Thanksgiving and Christmas that it really looks fabulous. So we decided to do something about it. So what we do is we put a piece of fabric on the middle of the table and then take some of these ornaments, take some of the candles, take the birdhouses, put some of these beautiful little balls, put little flower arrangements. You make your own kind of landscape in the middle of the table. It’s really neat. And it’s kind of fun to do because you can take your collectibles out of the closets or the places where you’ve put them. You can really kind of express yourself on your dining room table with these items. So we have fun things here that I recommend for table scapes like the little birdhouses. And I think that’s about it.

Oh, and I wrote a book which is right here and which is also available. Remarkable Changes. In life we all have challenges and I had a number of challenges quite early on in life. And these challenges, instead of feeling that it wasn’t fair and I couldn’t be what I wanted to be or I couldn’t have what I wanted to have, I was some kinda let go of that and I opened myself up to the endless possibilities that came my way. All kinds of extraordinary and wonderful things happen. So I wrote a book about how challenge leads to opportunity. And in my case, here I am, I just could have gone, ‘why did they cancel Dr Quinn? That’s it, my career is over’ instead of which I went wow, I’ve got time to paint and I can design and I can actually travel around the country and I can do all kinds of things I always wanted to do and always loved doing. And so I wrote a book about not just my changes but also twenty other people are involved in that. And Christopher Reeve wrote the preface. So, any questions?
