Jessica Bowman was born in Walnut Creek California. She credits her mother with giving her the encouragement to begin an acting career. Her first acting job was in a commercial- 'The Little Mermaid" this led to a series of commercials over the next 2 years.

After a run on the series "The Road Home" Jessica joined the cast of "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman" in January 1995 Her first appearance in the critically acclaimed series was in an episode entitled Pikes Peak.

Jessica was nominated for 3 Young Artist awards for her work on Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman. She won the award in 1996 and that same year won the Michael Landon Award.

She attended Santa Monica College with plans to major in Psychology and lives currently (2005) in California.
