February 2004

Hello, everybody!

I just got back in January from an internship with Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.  Both my girlfriend, Danette, and I went down there last August, and were there until the beginning of January.  I worked at the Haunted Mansion attraction at the Magic Kingdom, and she worked at one of the resorts.  It was a lot of fun, and since we stayed seasonal, we'll probably be back there to work every once in a while.

We drove back to Nebraska in January, and it was quite a trip.  It was 82 degrees when we left Florida, and when we got back, it was only 2 degrees, so that was quite a drop.  We hit some rough roads, but we made it back for school.  We both picked up right where we left off, and are settling in to our classes for the semester.  Other than that, I got an apartment by myself, and am just getting everything put away.  It's a mess right now, but I'm getting things together.

I just got a job at the local CBS affiliate here as a part-time videographer.  I hopefully will be starting soon.  I'm really looking forward to it, it should be a great experience.  And my 21st birthday is coming up, sooner than I realize!  It's sneaking up on me, it seems.  It's crazy that I will be turning 21.  I can't even believe it.  Soon, we'll be out of college, and I hopefully can start up acting again.

Finally, I just wanted to say that Danette and I are hoping to come out to California again for the DQ reunion in May.  It's right in the middle of our finals, so we're not sure if we can make it, and if we do, it'll only be for a couple of days, but we both really want to come, so hopefully it works out.  Thank you for all the continued support for so long.  It was and continues to be a wonderful experience, and it was all possible because of the fans.  Thank you!
Shawn

Thank you to all the fans who have supported us for over ten years. Without you guys, we never would have made it. It's so great to think back on DQ and hope we made a difference in somebody's life, and as strongly as the fans still support us, I know we did. It was a great experience, one I think ended before it's time. But I'm glad we had the opportunity to do what we did. I hope you enjoyed and continue to enjoy our show, because you are the reason we did it. Thanks for the ten years of support and beyond.
