Jane Seymour talks about getting
older, her career renaissance and stripping off for her latest
role

Jane,
54 and film director James, 57, met on the set of
Sunstroke 14 years ago and their relationship is
rock solid. The secret, she says, is that they are "true
partners", who share everything, whether it's
raising their twin sons (above) or working together
on the forthcoming film Blind Guy.
For someone who's sleep deprived and jetlagged, Jane
Seymour is looking pretty good. In the past week she's
flown across the Atlantic and back - from her home in
Malibu to Spain for an exhibition of her art work, on
to Florida to make a speech, and finally to London for
the premiere of her latest film, the romantic comedy
Wedding Crashers. Here, she partied with her co-stars
until the early hours after the premiere. But the perennially
youthful British actress is buzzing.
"I think I got lucky," she smiles. "I got one of the most fun
roles for an actress my age this year."
And the most risqué. In the film, Jane, 54, unveils
more than just her comedic talent. She plays the alcoholic,
neglected wife of a Washington politician who, in a desperate
attempt to seduce a man young enough to be her son (played
by Owen Wilson), strips off her bra and reveals all.

Best
known as the squeaky-clean Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman
in the eponymous American TV series. it's not the sort
of thing we've come to expect from Jane Sevmour. Even
her off-screen image is one of perfection- the woman
who has everything. Since first springing to fame at
20 as Bond girl Solitaire opposite Roger Moore in Live
and Let Die, she's sustained a busy acting career as
well as developing her talent for painting.
She's happily married to her fourth husband, American producer
James Keach, 57, and has four children, including nine-year
old twin boys, and two step-children to whom she is very
close. She lives in magnificent houses -a stone mansion
overlooking the ocean in Malibu, California, and a 16th
centurey manor house in Bath. And she looks fabulous, with
a figure many women half her age would envy and skin that
glows healthily. Polished, gracious and professional. if
you're looking for any cracks, you won't find any. |
