Elegant Jane

Ever the prolific artist and designer, Jane Seymour was not content to stick with just acting, painting and motherhood. In 2003, in conjunction with the Saks Department Store Group, Seymour launched an exclusive home collection inspired by her two homes. According to Seymour, the collections are "a perfect blend of timelessness and beauty." Each collection includes bedding and accessories such as table lamps, candlesticks and picture frames, all in coordinating colors. The first collection, St. Catherine's Court, reflects the dramatic elegance of her 14th-century manor house in Bath, England. The second collection, Coral Canyon Home, is reminiscent of her Malibu estate. The newest series, unveiled in November 2004, is the Jane Seymour Grand Hotel Mackinac Island Collection. When Seymour played opposite Christopher Reeve (with whom she became good friends and named a son

after, and whose recent death has deeply affected the actress) in Somewhere in Time, she became enchanted with the island on Lake Michigan that served as the setting for the film. "My new Grand Hotel-Mackinac Island Home Collection is truly a step back in time," says Seymour. "I wanted to return to the era of romantic, turn-of-the-century elegance that I treasure ... and give it a contemporary

refinement that will suit any home."

Today, the Jane Seymour Home Collection includes beds and bedroom furniture and is available exclusively in more than 200 participating Saks Department Store Group stores, including Saks Fifth Avenue, Parisian, McRae's, Berger's and Boston Store.--R.N.
