The Owen Wilson-Vince Vaughn "Wedding Crashers" has
the potential to become known as the movie that scandalized "Dr.
Quinn, Medicine Woman" fans - with a sequence in
which former TV doc Jane Seymour seduces Wilson.
"It will be remembered forever, I think. Just wait
till you see it," declares Jane of the summer comedy. "When
I read it, I said, 'I can't do this.' Then I went back
and reread it and said, 'It's so funny.' And without giving
it all away, I finally found a way and said yes."
And will her legions of TV fans be offended? "I don't
know. Some people might be offended by the entire film."
Actually, it sounds as if Seymour has found herself a
new happy place doing movie comedy with young guys. Now
she's making "Blind Guy" - which is being produced
and directed by her husband, James Keach, for their Catfish
Productions banner.
In that flick, which just started production in Utah with
Chris Pine and Eddie Kaye Thomas, says Jane, "I play
a crazy psychologist who has a habit of disrobing in front
of her blind clients."
Jane is making a whirlwind trip to L.A. this Mother's
Day weekend to be on hand for the Saturday "premiere" of
her first art gallery/showroom - an event that's raising
funds for women's heart disease prevention through the
Women's Heart Program Foundation. Lest you didn't know,
Jane is an accomplished painter and sculptor.
The event is being hosted by the California Pistachio
Commission, and a collection of hand-painted nut bowls
created by Hollywood moms - including Nicole Kidman, Glenn
Close, Virginia Madsen, Kelly Ripa and Jane - will also
be on display. The bowls are being auctioned off on eBay,
with all proceeds going to the foundation.
