"Da' Pimp and Frank" - Liem Michael Doan
Growing up on the tough streets of Vietnam, Liem thought he could use some of that ethos to good use playing these roles, especially "Da’ Pimp". Moving to Southern California as a child, he studied acting in college and is a graduate of the two-year acting program at the Joanne Baron & D.W. Brown Acting Studio in Santa Monica. He has performed in theatres in the LA area, including “Birch Hollow” at the Long Beach Playhouse and “Deadline” at the Jewel Box Theatre in Hollywood. Liem played the role of Father Michael in his first feature, “Dust of Life”, a film about the Asian-American gangsta life, which premiered in November 2009, and which the LA Times described as “Poignant…tough and touching.” |

Shirley- Cheri Johnson
Cheri is thrilled to be portraying the deliciously dark 'Shirley' in Rehab! The Musical! As a person who has 'been around the rooms' throughout her life, she feels a certain connection with this piece. The freedom given to the actors during the rehearsal process to explore and create larger than life addicts was especially fun and challenging. Thanks to Helene for trusting her with this part. Other roles you may have seen Cheri perform in recently were 'Tudi' in American Grind at Lyric Hyperion, 'Ruby' in Getting Out at Lyric Hyperion, and 'Maggie' in Trailerville at Moving Arts. As always, she thanks her lord and savior, Cali-the-Magical-Foster-Cat, for getting her thru the hard times. And of course, the bottle... ;) |
