Rob Stewart (Doug Craig)

Rob's character, Doug Craig, is a successful, respected lawyer in the small Wyoming town where Jane Seymour's character -- columnist and t.v. celebrity PRUDENCE MCCCOY, has been sent for a much-needed vacation by the media mogul who produces her column and t.v. show.

The first day Prudence arrives in Wyoming, she's introduced to Doug Craig, a friend of the woman -- RUTH VIGIL -- who manages the lodge where Pru is staying. There's an instant connection and Prudence joins Doug for drinks that same night.

By then, Prudence has become concerned about the disappearance of Ruth's son, J.R., and she consults with Doug about the boy. To her alarm, he tells her that J.R. has had a checkered past and Doug has had to bail the young man out of hot water on more than one occasion.

Prudence continues to explore the circumstances of J.R.'s disappearance, becoming convinced he was actually murdered. Doug Craig, supportive and concerned, offers to help Prudence track down any clues and evidence she turns up.

Born in Canada in 1961, as a child, Rob loved to play hockey and dreamed of becoming a professional player. When at the age of 17 he became badly injured while playing hockey and lost a kidney as a result, he had to give up his dream of becoming a professional hockey player and 'fell'
into the entertainment business by accident.

The injury forced him to turn down a number of athletic scholarships he had been offered. So, to put himself through the University of Waterloo, where he majored in Latin and English he took up his guitar, set some poems to music and sang in local restaurants. In the summers, he did stunts and acrobatics at Canada's Wonderland Amusement Park. Soon afterward he discovered a love for writing and subsequently formed a writing partnership with his cousin.

Rob began his film career by writing, directing and starring in three television dramas: Come Spy With Me, Where There's A Will and Mark Of The Beast. He subsequently guested on various television series including: Mount Royal and Hot Shots and played the lead in the television pilot: Soulsearching Mystery Face. Internationally he became known for his part of Nick Slaughter in the series Tropical Heat a.k.a. Sweating Bullets.

Since Tropical Heat, Rob has honed his skills with a number of independent films, TV guest appearances, more writing and directing. He is married and in 1996 he became the father of a son. He and his family now live in Los Angeles.
